Lucille A. DABNER, 90, of Galesburg, Ill., died Sunday morning, Oct. 15, 1994, at Marigold Health Care Center in Galesburg.

Arrangements are pending in Galesburg.

Lucille DABNER

The service for Lucille DABNER, 90, of Galesburg, Ill., former Fairfield resident, who died at 1 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 1994, at the Marigold Nursing Center in Galesburg, was conducted Wednesday morning in Allen Chapel AME Church in Galesburg with the Rev. Tyson Parks officiating. Burial and graveside service were in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield later that day.

Miss DABNER was born Oct. 8, 1904, in Decatur, ILL., the daughter of William and Ida M. HICKMAN DABNER Sr. She attended public schools in Fairfield and lived and worked in Burlington before moving to Galesburg in 1955. She was a member of Allen Chapel AME Church, where she served as a deaconness. She had been awarded several citations from boards of the church. Her last employment before retiring was at Knox College in Galesburg.

Surviving are three brothers, Roy DABNER of Clinton, Walter DABNER of Fort Worth, Texas, William DABNER Jr. of Fairfield; three sisters, Stella ROBINSON of Fairfield, Georgia JACKSON of Kansas City, Mo., and Thelma BAGBY of Cincinnati, Ohio; nieces and nephews.
