DEATH CLAIMS W. E. GREESON

William E. GREESON, former well known resident of Jefferson county, passed away Sunday in Ottumwa where he had made his home for the past 26 years (note: in Wapello Co., IA).

He died at 10:45 p.m. in the Ottumwa hospital where he had been a patient for the past three weeks. He had been in failing health for some time.

The body will be brought to Fairfield for last rites and burial. The services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Dr. L. L. Weis in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

William E. GREESON was born February 20, 1894 (sic - 1865). He was united in marriage to Cora May BOYD and the couple made their home on a farm nine miles northwest of Fairfield for several years. He was a member of the Methodist church.

The GREESONs moved to Ottumwa, Iowa, 26 years ago where he was employed at the John Morrell and company for 19 years, retiring in 1942. Mrs. GREESON preceded her husband in death on December 14, 1938.

He is survived by the following children: Boyd GREESON, Dallas, Texas; Raymond GREESON, Fort Worth, Texas; and Mrs. William CONNELISON, Ottumwa. He is also survived by one grandson, two great granddaughters, and two sisters, Mrs. Enos HADLEY, Richland, and Mrs. Fred UNDERWOOD, Kersley, Colorado.
