STEELE, Gary Lee -- Gary Lee STEELE, 68, of Renwick, died today, Friday, June 4, 2010, at home.

STEELE, Gary Lee -- Gary Lee STEELE, 68, of Goldfield, died Friday morning, June 4, 2010, at home.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Renwick.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today at Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home in Renwick.

Memorials may be made to Mr. STEELE's children and mailed to Karla MEINKE, 1431 160th St., Goldfield 50542.

Mr. STEELE was born June 24, 1941, in Linby, the son of William and Agnes WOODBURN STEELE. He married Donna MEHMERT April 15, 1960, in Pleasant Plain.

Mr. STEELE attended country schools near Packwood and Lockridge and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1959. He farmed in Jefferson County before moving his family to northern Iowa in 1971.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Kevin of Thor, Kendall STEELE of Goldfield, Kenny STEELE and wife Tracy of Goldfield and Kris STEELE and wife Jenny of Waukee; three daughters, Karla MEINKE and husband Curtis of Goldfield, Kaylene STEELE of West Des Moines and Kara STEELE of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; his father of Lockridge; one sister, Judy MOTE of Mount Pleasant; and two brothers, Jerry STEELE of Lockridge and Terry STEELE of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, William Rex.
