OGDEN, Barbara Anne -- Mrs. Barbara Anne OGDEN, 84, of Oregon, Illinois passed away May 29, 2010 at Ogle County Hospice Serenity Home in Oregon, Il.

Barbara was born May 24, 1926, in Lebanon, Iowa daughter of Lloyd and Eva (THOMPSON) JOHNSTON. She married Lyndon L. OGDEN March 1, 1947 in a double ring ceremony at the Little Brown Church of the Vale, Nashua, Iowa. They made their home for many years in Cedar Rapids, Iowa before moving to Illinois.

Barb enjoyed working at Crest Foods in Ashton for 17 years, before retiring. She loved her friends, being with her family, the outdoors, gardening and her beloved cat Tigger. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Barb is survived by her husband of 63 years, Lyndon; one son, Jeffery (Patti) OGDEN, of Oregon, Illinois; two grandchldren, Chad (Patricia) OGDEN of Phoenix, Arizona and Heather (Chris) McGUIRE of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; seven great-grandchildren, Ezra, Levi, Micah OGDEN and Isabelle, Gianna, Natalia, Israel McGUIRE.

Preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Pete JOHNSTON.

A memorial service was held 10:00 am Monday May 31, 2010 at the Ashton United Methodist Church with a one hour memorial visitation prior. Pastor Tom Renardo will be officiating. Cremations rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be at Ashton Cemetery at a later time. Coulon-Lyons Family Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
