PERKINS, Sarah Nicole 'Niki' -- Sarah Nicole "Niki" PERKINS, 12, of Fairfield, died Sunday, May 30, 2010, near Cedar Rapids.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairfield Middle School, with the Rev. Len Maselli officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Noah's Ark Animal Foundation or to Miss PERKINS' family. Memorials may be sent to Bill and Erika PERKINS at 802 Grand Park Drive, Fairfield 52556.

Arrangements are in the care of Behner Funeral Home of Fairfield. Online condolences may be sent via www.behnerfh.com.

Miss PERKINS was born Sept. 11, 1997, in La Paz, Bolivia, the daughter of Bill and Erika PERKINS.

Miss PERKINS lived in the Fairfield area most of her life. She attended seventh grade at Fairfield Middle School, where she was a member of the band, cheerleading squad and volleyball team. She was an honor roll student and a member of the student council.

She was proud of her international travels and her Bolivian-American heritage.

Survivors include her parents of Fairfield; one brother, Patrick PERKINS of Des Moines; and grandparents, Carlos and Cristina CRESPO of Bolivia.
