REIGHARD, Cloyce A. -- Cloyce A. REIGHARD, 82, of Burlington, died at 8 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010, at home.

A graveside service and interment was held at 2:30 p.m. today at Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Dean Graber officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Mr. REIGHARD's family.

Mr. REIGHARD was born Sept. 14, 1927, in Brighton, the son of Archie and Maggie SINN REIGHARD. He married Myrtle Lee DOUD. She died in 1984. He married Nancy VON ENDE June 11, 1988.

Mr. REIGHARD worked for Des Moines County in road maintenance. He previously worked for Benner Tea Company and Iowa Army Ammunition Plant as a guard. He also was a former policeman.

Mr. REIGHARD was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed woodworking, tinkering in his garage, feeding the birds and squirrels and working in the yard.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Kitra KING and husband Bill of Missouri; three stepdaughters, Melanie PURCELL and husband Mark of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Allison ALISON and husband Dale of Burlington and Darcie DAVIS of Gladstone; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Wilda GRAHAM of California.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother.
