Funeral Services Tomorrow Morning at 10:30 From Presbyterian ChurchMrs. Vida CHARLES, wife of Raymond J. CHARLES, one of the proprietors of the Charles & Bruggemeyer Motor company, died yesterday morning at 9:30 oclock at her home, 311 West Adams. She was taken ill Friday and her condition was thought to be much improved, when she became suddenly ill yesterday morning and soon passed away.
Mrs. CHARLES was the daughter of George and Jennie YOUNG and was born December 5 (sic. other sources use 15), 1886 in Blue Spring, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Mr. CHARLES, February 20, 1909 in Bloomington, Ill., where they made their home for a few months before coming to Fairfield where they have since resided. Besides her sorrowing husband she leaves five small children, the youngest one being four years old. They are Jeanette, Richard, Raymond Jr., Henley, and Alene. She also leaves her parents and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. W. C. McFADDEN and Mrs. Paul COLESON of this city, Clarence YOUNG of Dallas, South Dakota and O. M. YOUNG of Davenport. She was a faithful member of the Methodist church and she was affiliated with the Order of Eastern Star, the Rebekah lodge and the Yeoman lodge.
The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10:30 oclock from the Presbyterian church in charge of her pastor, Dr. C.L. Tennant, who will be assisted by Rev. H. Sears Thomson. The remains will be laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery, the O. E. S. having charge of the service at the grave.

Dr. C. L. Tennant, pastor of the Methodist church assisted by Rev. H. Sears Thomson conducted the services. The members of the various organizations of which she was a member attended the funeral in a body. Interment took place in Evergreen cemetery, the Eastern Stars having charge of the services there.

Mrs. Raymond CHARLES died suddenly morning at her home, 311 West Adams street, after an illness of only a couple of days. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock, at the First Presbyterian church, and were conducted by Dr. C. L. Tennant, pastor of the First Methodist church, of which she was a faithful member, assisted by Rev. H. Sears Thomson, pastor of the Presbyterian church.
Mrs. CHARLES was known to her many friends as Vida YOUNG-CHARLES, and was the daughter of Mr. and MRs. Geo. YOUNG, who reside on East Washington street in this city. She was born December 5, 1886, in Blue Springs, Nebr., but had spent the greater part of her life in Fairfield.
She married Raymond CHARLES February 20, 1909, in Bloomington, Ill., and after a few months they came to Fairfield to make their home. To them were born five children, all of whom with their father, survive. They are: Jeanette, Richard, Raymond, Jr., Henley and Arlene. Beside her own family, Mrs. CHARLES is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. YOUNG; two sister (sic), Mrs. W. C. McFADDEN and Mrs. Paul COLESON, both of this city; and two brothers, Clarence YOUNG, of Dallas, S. D., and O. M. YOUNG, of Davenport.
Mrs. CHARLES was affiliated with the O. E. S. chapter, the Brotherhood of American Yeoman, Fairfield Rebekah lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was popular among her acquaintances and her death is genuinely regretted.
