Rites set for Cecil CHARLES

Cecil CHARLES, 85, 202 Forest Dr., died Thursday at 2:45 p.m. at Jefferson County Hospital where she had been admitted earlier that day.

Cecil DUNN was born May 10, 1900 in Decatur County. She married Raymond J. CHARLES Feb. 20, 1934. He died June 5, 1964.

A registered nurse, she trained at Jefferson County Hospital School of Nursing from June 1918 until graduating July 4, 1921.

Except for eight years of nursing in Chicago, she spent the rest of her career in nursing at Jefferson County Hospital until her retirement in April 1965. After her retirement, she continued to do part-time nursing.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, two stepsons and a stepdaughter.

Survivors include two step-children: Raymond CHARLES of Estes Park, Colo., and Jeannette ALLEN of Huxley, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. CHARLES will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Riggs officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

A memorial has been established to the Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary Lifeline Program.

TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE ESTATE OF CECIL M. CHARLES, DECEASED, WHO DIED ON OR ABOUT NOV. 28, 1985;

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 2ND DAY OF DECEMBER, 1985, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF CECIL M. CHARLES, DECEASED, BEARING DATE OF THE 26TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1967, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT ROBERT D. PARKIN WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF THE ESTATE.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE THE WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN FOUR MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ALL PERSONS INDEBTED TO THE ESTATE ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO THE UNDERSIGNED, AND CREDITORS HAVING CLAIMS AGAINST SAID ESTATE SHALL FILE THEM WITH THE CLERK OF THE ABOVE NAMED DISTRICT COURT, AS PROVIDED BY LAW, DULY AUTHENTICATED, FOR ALLOWANCE; AND UNLESS SO FILED WITHIN FOUR MONTHS FROM THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE (UNLESS OTHERWISE ALLOWED OR PAID) A CLAIM IS THEREAFTER FOREVER BARRED.
