Stella WHITMORE rites Tuesday

BATAVIA - Funeral for Stella Mae (sic. "May" on headstone) Whitmore, 93, who died Saturday at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia.

The Rev. Kermit Black will officiate. Burial will be in the Batavia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 this evening at the funeral chapel.

The daughter of Frank and Rebecca CURRY (sic. CURRAY) WHITMORE, she was born May 25, 1890 in Jefferson County. She lived all of her life in the Batavia community. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star of Batavia.

She is survived by one niece who was reared in her home, Geraldine WHITMORE, Lombard, Ill., one brother, Will WHITMORE, Fairfield, three other nieces and four nephews.
