William A. CRAFF Taken In Death

William Andrew CRAFF, well known resident of the Germanville community, died suddenly Sunday at the Nelson Nursing home where he had been a patient since Aug. 3. His death came at 11:30 a.m.

Although he had been in failing health for several years and had been a patient at the Nursing home several weeks, his death was unexpected.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Hope Lutheran church near Germanville with the Rev. Alfred Schultz in charge. Burial will be in the Germanville Lutheran cemetery (sic. Hope Lutheran Cemetery).

A short prayer service will be held at the Hoskins funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday before the body is taken to the church at Germanville. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and evening to receive friends.

William Andrew CRAFF, 86, was born Oct. 19, 1871, on the home farm near Germanville, the son of the late Michael and Caroline SPIELMAN CRAFF. He lived on the same farm his entire life.

He was united in marriage on Aug. 26, 1903, to Katie BAUMGARTNER. The marriage took place in the birdes's (sic. bride's) home at Germanville. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1953.

Mr. CRAFF, a member of the Hope Lutheran church, was a farmer all his life.

Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ethel ARMSTRONG, Chicago; two sons, Burley and Dale, both of Brighton; five grandchildren; and a sister, Mae CRAFF, Brighton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.
