ULM, Roberta 'Bert' -- Roberta L. "Bert" ULM, 68, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and formerly of Fairfield, died Saturday, June 18, 2005, of pancreatic cancer at her home.

A celebration of life service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home.

Family visitation will precede the service at 9:30 a.m.

Mrs. ULM was born April 1, 1937, in Brighton.

She was a single mother. She ran the family restaurant in Fairfield. She also worked for the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce and then as a loan officer for Jefferson Savings and Loan.

She was secretary of Fairfield Booster Club while her children were in high school sports.

She relocated to Arizona in 1984. She was a fan of the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks and Iowa Hawkeyes.

She was employed as an accountant by Kyle Jones Enterprises in Arizona.

Survivors include one son, Doug ULM of Phoenix; one daughter, Shelly DEUTSCH and husband Kirk of Iowa City; and two grandsons.
