GLOTFELTY, Joanne Carol -- Joanne Carol GLOTFELTY, 73, of Victor, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at New Covenant-United Methodist Church in Victor. Interment will be at Brethren Cemetery in rural Libertyville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Joanne Glotfelty Memorial Fund.

Visitation will begin at noon Sunday at Smith Funeral Home in Victor, where the family will be present from 2-5 p.m.

Mrs. GLOTFELTY was born July 26, 1936, in Batavia, the daughter of Russell and Sarah GRIGGS WEBB. She married Vernon H. GLOTFELTY April 3, 1954.

Mrs. GLOTFELTY graduated from Batavia High School in 1954. She and her husband lived in rural Fairfield before moving to Marengo in1959. They moved to rural Victor in 1967 before moving into town in 1972. Mrs. GLOTFELTY was employed at Marengo Hospital for 13 years and Grinnell Hospital's Home Health Care Department for 18 years. She retired in 1997.

She was a member of Victor United Methodist Church, where she served on many committees, and United Methodist Women, with which she served many years in leadership and service roles. She attended UMW School of Missions and General Assemblies for more than 20 years.

Mrs. GLOTFELTY enjoyed traveling with her husband, listening to music, bird watching, planting flowers, reading, cooking for her family and attending family get-togethers.

Survivors include her husband; seven children, Deb DAVIS and husband Dan of Ringwood, Okla., Tammy HULL and husband Dennis of Cedar Rapids, Tim GLOTFELTY and wife Janet of Victor, Mike GLOTFELTY and wife Teresa of Huxley, Nathan GLOTFELTY and wife Marla of Kellogg, Chris DANIELS and husband Damon of Huntsville, Ala., and Jill DREYER and husband Dan of Muscatine; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty DURFLINGER of Greentop, Mo., and Patti WHITHAM of Madrid; and two brothers, Wyman WEBB of Ottumwa and James WEBB of Andover, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Mark D. GLOTFELTY.
