WILLIAM COPELAND PASSES AWAY

William Copeland, aged 82 years passed away at his home southeast of Fairfield August 30, 1933.

Funeral services were held at the Competine Church Friday afternoon with burial also there.

Before moving to their present home the Copelands were residents of this vicinity for many years.

Surviving Mr. Copeland are his wife, Mrs. Matilda Huff Copeland, three daughters, Mrs. Ed Pickerel, of Abingdon; Mrs. Rollie Skirvin, of Stockport; and Carrie at home, two sons, Earl of Ottumwa and Lewis of Fairfield, one son Orin having preceded his father in death. He also leaves twenty-four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, also two brothers, Warren and Charles, both of Batavia, besides a number of other relatives.

William's parents were James Lewis Copeland and Eliza Jane Means of Shelby Co., Indiana.
William married Sarah Matilda Huff, daughter of John Wesley Huff and Addy Shearer.
