Illness Fatal To Mrs. KERRICK, 87

Mrs. Lina C. KERRICK, 87, long-time resident of Fairfield, died Sunday at 8:30 a.m. at the Jefferson County hospital. She had been in failing health for some time and was admitted to the hospital Saturday night.

Mrs. KERRICK made her home at 303 E. Burlington St. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins Funeral home in charge of Dr. Lloyd Scheerer and Dr. J. Henry Teele. Interment will be in the Fairfield Abbey.

Mrs. Kerrick was born Aug. 4, 1870 at Hillsboro, Ohio, the daughter of Perry and Phoebe BERRY KING. Her husband the late F.D. KERRICK preceded her in death Jan. 12, 1925. One daughter, Mary Louise, preceded her in death in 1918.

Mrs. Kerrick graduated from Fairfield high school in 1888. She was a member of the school's first four-year class. She was a member of the First Methodist church and a charter member of Rebekah Lodge No. 386.

She is survived by one brother, Wart (sic - Wirt) B. King, Los Angeles, Calif.

Note: Married to Frank D. KERRICK, an area undertaker and founder of Fairfield Abbey mausoleum in Fairfield. The KERRICK family was originally interred in the Fairfield Abbey; when it closed they were re-interred at Evergreen Cemetery, 2nd.220-1/2 in July 1968.
