STEVENS, Troy -- Troy STEVENS, 73, of Fairfield, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at home.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wright Cemetery on Glasgow Road, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating.

Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to Wright Cemetery. Cards and memorials may be sent to 2615 Glasgow Road, Fairfield 52556.

Mr. STEVENS was born March 31, 1936, in Unionville, Mo., the son of Charlie and Viola TRENTER STEVENS. He married Donna May VOGT June 14, 1958, in Mount Pleasant.

Mr. STEVENS was employed for 27 years at Chain & Cable Co. until it closed. As an accomplished carpenter and plumbing contractor, he then built many homes in the Fairfield area.

Survivors include his wife; two children, Jeannine SIMMONS and husband Phil of Fairfield and Matthew "Bonz" STEVENS of Fairfield; four grandchildren; and five siblings, Emma Jane CLARK of Mercer, Mo., Charles STEVENS of Unionville, Mo., Sue Ann HEATH of Helena, Mo., Maggie FISHEL of Unionville, Mo., and Armenda SCHLARBAUM of Oark, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Angie Kathleen BEHRENS; and two sisters, Ollie and Ida Mae.
