CREATH, Lenore -- Lenore CREATH, 86, of Cantril, died at 6:35 a.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

CREATH, Lenore -- Lenore CREATH, 86, of Cantril, died following a brief illness at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cantril United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Paul Rekward officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril.
Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, where the family will be present from 7-8:30 p.m.
Memorials to Cantril Methodist Church or Russell-Strait American Legion Post No. 483 may be left at the funeral home or church or may be mailed to the family at 505 South Humbert S., Milton 52570.
Mrs. CREATH was born Jan. 20, 1923, in rural Keosauqua, the daughter of William C. and Anna F. HARWARD PEACOCK. She married John CREATH Oct. 4, 1941, in Gorin, Mo. He died Jan. 3, 1998.
Mrs. CREATH attended country school and graduated from Cantril High School in 1941. She was a housewife and part-time postal clerk in Cantril.
Mrs. CREATH was member of Cantril United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was a volunteer at Cantril Public Library and was a Grassroots Committee member.
She enjoyed reading, completing crossword puzzles and crocheting.
Survivors include two sons, Larry CREATH and wife Glenda of Memphis, Mo., and Lon CREATH and wife Barb of Milton; two daughters, Ann TAYLOR and husband Mark of Unionville and Nita BALL and husband Steve of Des Moines; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Kathleen STARNES of Lawndale, Calif.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Carroll PEACOCK, Neil PEACOCK and Billy PEACOCK as an infant.
