CAMPBELL, S. Oneta -- S. Oneta CAMPBELL, age 95, of Washington, Iowa died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the United Presbyterian Home.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington with Pastor Joseph Brown officiating. General calling hours will be held at the Jones Eden Funeral Home from 12:00 until 5:00 pm Monday. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 am Tuesday at the United Presbyterian Home. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at the Dudenville Cemetery in Dudenville, Missouri. Memorials have been established with the United Presbyterian Home and can be directed to Jerry CAMPBELL, 909 East Harrison Avenue, Fairfield, Iowa 52556. S. Oneta CAMPBELL was born June 26, 1914 in Avilla, Missouri the daughter of Charles and Telieu (WALKER) BURNETT. She graduated from high school in Carthage, Missouri. On September 16, 1942, Oneta was united in marriage to Ralph Leonard CAMPBELL in Carthage, Missouri.

She enjoyed being a homemaker and had a special interest in sewing. Oneta was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Washington. In her earlier years she was a church pianist and was the acompanist for her high school chorus in Carthage. She was an avid reader and loved caring for her cats.

She is survived by her son Jerry CAMPBELL and wife Dee of Fairfield, Iowa and one daughter Marilyn D. BONNETT and husband Lowell of Wake Forest, North Carolina; three grandchildren Tina SOLOMON and husband Bill of Phoenix, Arizona; Monica SELLARS and husband John of Concord, North Carolina; and Kurt BONNETT of Denton, Texas as well as one great granddaughter Addison SOLOMON. She is also survived by two step grandchildren Michael MOORE and wife Deb of Wayland, Michigan and Anne MOORE of Jacksonville, Florida as well as four step great grandchildren, Amanda and Amber MOORE and Hannah and Sara ROSENBLUM.

Oneta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1990, one brother John BURNETT, one sister Geneva BURNETT and one grandson Mark Leonard CAMPBELL.
