DROZ, Larry Marshall -- Larry Marshall DROZ, 71, of Drakesville, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Dave Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established. Cards and memorials may be sent to 1202 Jay St., Ottumwa 52501. Online condolences may be sent via www.behnerfh.com.

Mr. DROZ was born in Fairfield, the son of Lawrence John and Phena VILES DROZ.

He worked as a painter for John Deere Company for 26 years and was a member of United Auto Workers union.

His hobbies included dining out, playing the lottery and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Tim DROZ of Ottumwa; one daughter, Pam BROWN and husband Randy of Ottumwa; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Clifford DROZ of Agency; and one sister, Velma COLEMAN of Birmingham.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Dick, Perry and Jack DROZ; and two sisters, Mary MITCHELL and Louise WHITE.
