Waneta M. JONES

Waneta M. JONES, 75, of Fremont, Neb. died early Saturday, April 15, 2006, at her sister's home in Fremont.

A service will be held in Pleasant Plain.

Ms. JONES was born March 23, 1931, in Fairfield, the daughter of Albert and Etha CRAIL JONES.

Ms. JONES was born with cerebral palsy, and while she was never able to talk, she taught herself to read and print. She was able to walk with the assistance of a cane. Ms. JONES lived with her parents on a farm in southeast Iowa until her father's death in 1986 when she moved to live with her sister.

Ms. JONES was a member of Pleasant Plain Friends Church.

Survivors include one sister, Wilma PEARSON of Fremont; one niece, Phyllis BOHNER of West Des Moines; and one nephew, Richard PEARSON of Fremont.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
