HILLEARY, Jack Hale -- Jack Hale HILLEARY, 72, formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009.

Mr. HILLEARY was born Oct. 6, 1936, in Fairfield, the son of Julius and Ruth HILLEARY.

Mr. HILLEARY moved to California in the early 1960s.

He enjoyed laughing with friends, watching a 49ers or Giants game, reading to his grandchildren, listening to stories of their antics and playing with his son in their weekly football pool.

Survivors include his wife, Paula of La Selva Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Ruthie YARME and husband Adam of Santa Cruz, Calif.;one son, Steve HILLEARY of La Selva Beach, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Tammy HILLEARY of Soquel, Calif.; two brothers, James "Bud" HILLEARY of Los Angeles, Calif., and Morris HILLEARY of Palm Springs, Calif.; one sister, Joy CURTIS of East Lansing, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Julius HILLEARY and one sister, Shirley Dee STRATHMAN.
