Milford A. PARSONS

Milford A. PARSONS, 90, 208 S. Ninth St., died Wednesday morning, May 18, 1994, at his home.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Wallarab officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation wil be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

PARSONS was born April 4, 1904, in the Douds-Leando community, the son of Will G. and Perle Blanche HANSHAW PARSONS. He lived in the Douds-Leando community and Burlington before the family's move to Fairfield in 1906. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1922 and from Parsons College in 1926. On Aug. 24, 1927, he married Glessie JOHNSON at the Presbyterian manse in Fairfield. She died Feb. 21, 1983. He had lived in the same house since May 1928 and had worked in the railway mail service of the postal service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the National Retired Federal Employees.

Surviving are two sons, James of Colorado Springs, Colo., William of Swisher; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lucille Laura COWEN of Oakridge, Tenn. Three brothers, Wesley, Monte, and Glen, preceded him in death.
