BILLINGSLEY, Raymond Glenn -- Raymond Glenn BILLINGSLEY, 81, of Mount Pleasant, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at home.
A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Earl Swigart officiating. Interment, with full military rites provided by Henry County Honor Guard, will be in Hillsboro Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at the memorial chapel, where the family will be present from 2-4 p.m.

Mr. BILLINGSLEY was born March 22, 1928, in Hillsboro, the son of Howard and Zeffa NICHOLS BILLINGSLEY. He married Velma HUMMELL Dec. 13, 1952, in Mount Pleasant.
Mr. BILLINGSLEY was raised in the Hillsboro area and received his education at Hillsboro schools. He and his wife moved to their farm in 1963 and have lived there ever since. Mr. BILLINGSLEY was a lifelong farmer and carpenter. He also worked for the city of Mount Pleasant for several years and was later employed by the Wal-Mart Distribution Center.
Mr. BILLINGSLEY enlisted in the United States Army and served in Korea and Japan during the Korean conflict.
He enjoyed spending time with his children, mushroom hunting, raccoon hunting and cutting wood to heat the family home.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Deanna WELLMAN and husband Marty of Wever, Julie SCHNEIDER and husband Dave of Mount Pleasant and Johanna VANTIGER and husband Dean of Yarmouth; one son, Darren and wife Bibiana of St. Michael, Alaska; one brother, Kenneth BILLINGSLEY of Fairfield; 10 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and five brothers.
