REINIER, Lorene -- Lorene REINIER, age 91, of Ollie passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield, Iowa. Visitation will begin Friday after 12 noon at the Fremont Funeral Chapel and the family will receive guests from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held at the Fremont Funeral Chapel, Saturday, October 3, at 10:30 AM with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Interment will follow in the Ollie Cemetery, Ollie, Iowa.

Lorene was born December 18, 1917 in Ollie, Iowa the daughter of Lacey and Pearl CURTIS SHERADEN. She attended Ollie School. Following the early death of her parents she continued to care for her younger siblings. She was united in marriage to Edwin REINIER, they later divorced.

Lorene worked as a cook at Ollie Consolidated School in the late 1950's (sic) and retired from Pekin Community Schools in 1983 where she was employed in the lunch service program.

She enjoyed gardening when she was able, and working with her flowers. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Lorene is survived by her son, Nile (Carol) REINIER of Dover, Pennsylvania, daughters, Darlene SCHILLERSTROM of Batavia, and Yvonne (Jeff) WONDERLICH of Ollie, a daughter-in-law Wilma REINIER of York, Pennsylvania, 10 grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Vernon REINIER, her ex-husband, Edwin REINIER, two sisters, Mary McCLURE and Kathleen JOHNSON and a great-grandson, Joey KROUSE.

Memorials may be made in her name to Jefferson County Health Center, Fairfield, Iowa.
