HOSLER, Allan M. -- Allan M. HOSLER, 83, of Fairfield, died Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 11, 2009, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. HOSLER was born July 9, 1926 in Naperville, Ill., the son of Myron and Odelia SIEBOLD HOSLER.
Mr. HOSLER served in the United States Navy.
He received his bachelor's degree from North Central Illinois and his doctorate from the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley. Mr. HOSLER served as a social worker in the Denver, Colo., public school system during his career. After retiring, he moved to Fairfield and briefly taught at Maharishi University of Management. He also served as principal of the Maharishi elementary school for a short period of time.
Mr. HOSLER was a supporter of the Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts in Fairfield.
Survivors include two sons, Carl HOSLER of Wellington, Colo., and Randy HOSLER of Castle Rock, Colo.; and two brothers, Doug of Wausau, Wis., and Ken of Tigert, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
