MINER, Marjorie I. -- Marjorie I. MINER, 94, of Stockport, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with words of comfort offered by Larry Smith. Interment will follow in Spencer Cemetery in Stockport.
Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. MINER was born Oct. 17, 1914, in Fairfield, the daughter of Cullen and Mary JOHNSTON HUMPHREY. She married Lawrence MINER July 20, 1932, in Memphis, Mo.
Mrs. MINER lived most of her life in the Stockport community. She was a mother and homemaker.
She attended the Methodist church. She enjoyed reading, taking car rides and cooking gourmet foods.
Survivors include her husband; four children, Lloyd MINER and Tom MINER, both of Stockport, Larry MINER and wife Carol of Fairfield and Tim MINER and wife Sharon of Richland; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, JoAnn WILEY of Fairfield and Donna BEAN of Springfrield, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jimmie; one daughter, Janyce; and eight siblings, William, Hollis, Carroll, Lynn, Cullen, Jr, Mary, Genevieve and Ruth.
