EGBERT, Gertrude -- Gertrude EGBERT, 89, formerly of Richland, died early Friday, July 31, 2009, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.

Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home in Richland.

EGBERT, Gertrude -- Gertrude EGBERT, 89, of Richland, died at 1:25 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2009, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Richland Friends Cemetery. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Sunrise Terrace Care Center, with the Rev. Wilbur Morfitt officiating.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Gould Funeral Home in Richland, with the family present from 6-7 p.m.

A memorial for Sunrise Terrace Care Center has been established. Memorials may be left at the funeral home or the care center or may be mailed to the family at 106 E. High St., Richland 52585.

Mrs. EGBERT was born April 5, 1920, in a log cabin northwest of Ollie, the daughter of Emery and Ivy Pearl INGLE RYALS. She married Louie EGBERT June 14, 1938. He died in August 1981.

Mrs. EGBERT grew up in the Ollie area and attended country school. She had worked at Bill Kime's Orchard and with her husband in Louie's Mobile (sic) Station. She had owned and operated Larry's Meat Shop and Granny's Nook.

Mrs. EGBERT was a member of Richland Christian Church. She was active in the Richland community as a member of Friday Night Bridge Club and American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 504.

Survivors include one son, Larry EGBERT and wife Peggy of Richland; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Raymond RYALS.
