FINDLAY, Margaret Josephine -- Margaret Josephine FINDLAY, 90, of Surprise, Ariz., died Nov. 15, 1999, in Phoenix, Ariz.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds with the Rev. Connie Markle officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery, north of Douds. A reception will follow at the Douds Community Center.

Mrs. FINDLAY was born May 21, 1909, on a farm north of Douds, the daughter of Francis and Effie NEWBANKS TALBOTT. She married George Ellsworth FINDLAY. He died in 1995.

They farmed in the Douds-Selma-Eldon area and moved to Arizona in 1946. She worked for Bashas' Grocery stores in Eloy and Casa Grande, Ariz.

She had been a member of Mount Moriah Church and was a charter member of First United Methodist Church in Eloy and United Methodist Church of Casa Grande, and played piano and organ for both churches.

Survivors include three sons, Junior FINDLAY of Collins, Richard FINDLAY of Moses Lake, Wash., and Glen FINDLAY of Arizona City, Ariz.; one daughter, Virginia VanWEELDEN of Surprise; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Frank and Clarence TALBOTT.
