CROMER, Helen Irene -- Helen Irene CROMER, 99, died in her sleep Monday, July 6, 2009, in Sun City Center, Fla.

A celebration of life service and graveside service will be held at a later date in Fairfield.

Arrangements are being handled by Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. CROMER was born Feb. 8, 1910, in Mount Union, the daughter of Lester and Ina GIBBS. She married William CROMER Sept. 8, 1929, in Fairfield.

Mrs. CROMER and her husband owned and operated Cromer Distributing Company in Vinton for many years. They later retired and resided in Florida.

Mrs. CROMER enjoyed cooking, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include one daughter, Colleen FRESCOLN and husband Nels of Ellenton, Fla.; one son, Jack CROMER and wife Shirley of Marion; one sister; three grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield, with the Rev. Greg Frescoln officiating.

Arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
