WRAY, Patsy 'Pat' Jean SCHECHTER -- Patsy "Pat" Jean SCHECHTER WRAY, 73, of Keota, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Maplewood Manor in Keota following a lengthy battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Prairie View United Methodist Church near Ollie, with the Rev. Dave Nolte officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials may be directed to the donor's local library.
Arrangements are in the care of Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota.

Mrs. WRAY was born March 22, 1936, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of J. Ray and Anna ROLSTON SCHECHTER. She married Roland WRAY Dec. 23, 1957.
Mrs. WRAY grew up a farm girl in Worthington, Minn., where she graduated in 1954. She graduated from McPherson College in McPherson, Kan., in 1958, with a bachelor's degree in biology. She and her husband lived in McPherson and Cunningham, Kan.; Ozark, Mo.; and Lenox, Sidney, State Center, Exira, Richland and Keota.
Mrs. WRAY was an active member of the church wherever she lived. She was raised in the Church of the Brethren but attended United Methodist Church most of her adult life.
She took leadership roles in the activities in which she participated, including United Methodist Women, S.E.R.V. and United Methodist Committee on Relief.
She was a reader, gardener, knitter, quilter and traveler.
Survivors include her husband; three children, Lori KREWSON and husband Greg of Flower Mount, Texas, Tom WRAY and wife Lori of Rocklin, Calif., and Jean YODER and husband Clark of Wellman; six grandchildren; one sister, Beverly PETEFISH of Sacramento, Calif.; and one brother, Orvis SCHECHTER of Joshua, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
