KLINGAMAN, Elizabeth -- Elizabeth KLINGAMAN, 96, formerly of Packwood, died today, Wednesday, June 24, 2009.

Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home.

KLINGAMAN, Elizabeth Mattie -- Elizabeth Mattie KLINGAMAN, 96, formerly of Packwood, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Packwood Christian Church, with the Rev. Frosty Van Voorst officiating. Burial will be in Packwood Cemetery, followed by a fellowship meal at the church.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be made to T.T.T. Chapter F or the Packwood Community Building in care of Judy ATWOOD, 1565 Packwood Road, Packwood, 52580.

Arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. KLINGAMAN was born Sept. 24, 1912, on Soap Creek, north of Floris, the daughter of William Henry and Cordie Mae BUCHANAN SHANK. She married Clair Eckley KLINGAMAN Sept. 18, 1937, in Lancaster, Mo. He died March 1979.

Mrs. KLINGAMAN moved to Packwood when she was 7 and graduated from Packwood High School in 1930. She and her husband ran the Packwood Telephone Company for many years.

Mrs. KLINGAMAN was a member of T.T.T Chapter F, Order of the Eastern Star and United Methodist Women. She was a member of Packwood Methodist Church and Packwood Christian Church.

She was a fan of the Pekin Panthers and Iowa Hawkeyes.

Survivors include three children, Judy ATWOOD and husband Wayne of Packwood, Marjorie PARISH of Rushville, Ill., and John KLINGAMAN and wife Colleen KLINGAMAN of Nevada, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine HOLZHAUSER, and one granddaughter.
