UTZINGER, Rusty R. 'Ozzie' -- Rusty R. "Ozzie" UTZINGER, 31, of Milton, died at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009, at home.

A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with Don Kirchner and Bob Beghtol officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

Open visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6-7:30 p.m.

Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 201 E. Oak St., Milton 52570.

Mr. UTZINGER was born Feb. 24, 1978, in Monmouth, Ill., the son of Lewis and Sharon GOODEN UTZINGER.

Mr. UTZINGER lived most of his life in Milton and graduated from Fox Valley High School in 1997. He had worked at Barker Ltd. in Keosauqua and Mid-States Manufacturing Co. in Milton.

Mr. UTZINGER was a member of Patriot Guard Riders, Abate of Iowa District 14, Order of the Shield, American Motorcycle Association and Motorcycle Riders Federation.

He enjoyed riding and racing motorcycles. He collected model trains.

Survivors include his fiancée, Judi DETMERING and her son Matthew of Milton; his mother, Sharon COOK of Milton; four sisters, Vickey CROUCH of Kirkwood, Ill., Shari GOTTLER of Iowa City, Beany BELLINGER of Little York, Ill., and Tina OLIVER of New London; and one brother, Lance MARKEY of Galesburg, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
