WATSON, Brent Kean -- Brent Kean WATSON, 52, of Stockport, died at 1:38 a.m. today, Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with John Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery in rural Stockport.

Open visitation will begin at noon Thursday at the funeral home, where family will be present from 2-4 p.m. and 6-7:30 p.m.

Memorials to Mr. WATSON's grandchildren's education may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 615 N. Main St., Stockport 52651.

Mr. WATSON was born May 30, 1956, in Fairfield, the son of Virgil and Darleen McKEE WATSON. He married Ronda Kay HUGEN July 3, 1975, in Ottumwa.

Mr. WATSON graduated from Van Buren High School and attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. He lived in Stockport, where he had worked at Prairie Grain Co. and was in business with his father at Watson Plumbing, Heating & Electric. He served as the rural letter carrier out of the Stockport post Office and had been the superintendent of Stockport's sewer and water systems.

Mr. WATSON was a member of Stockport Christian Church and Stockport Fire Department. He was active in the Van Buren Sports Boosters and other school activities.

Survivors include his wife; his parents of Stockport; two sons, Nathon Kyle WATSON and wife Bonnie and Nicholas Jay WATSON and wife Alice of Stockport; six grandchildren; one sister, Annita RETTIG of Tripoli; and one brother, Jan WATSON of Urbandale.
