KARST, Jean-Marie -- Jean-Marie KARST, native of France, died in his sleep last week.

A memorial service will be at 7:45 p.m. today at Dalby Hall at the Argiro Student Center on the Maharishi University of Management campus.

Mr. KARST was a faculty member at Maharishi University of Management for almost a decade. At M.U.M., he devoted himself to researching and restoring proper understanding of Sanskrit grammar and pronunciation and developed a system of teaching in which students could easily learn to read the original Devanagari text in one month's time.

Survivors include two brothers, Patrice and Fabien, both of France.
