ALLEN, Jerry Lee -- Jerry Lee ALLEN, 47, formerly of Fairfield, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009.

A graveside service was held Feb. 4 at Rosedale Cemetery in Cambridge, Ill.

Mr. ALLEN was born March 30, 1961, in Fairfield, the son of Larry and Lena ALLEN.

Mr. ALLEN graduated from Fairfield High School in 1980 and studied accounting for two years at a Cedar Rapids college. He chose not to pursue accounting and instead pursued physical work. When Mr. ALLEN moved from New London, his last-known address, he never notified his family, and they were unable to locate him.

The coroner and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office notified Mr. ALLEN's family of his passing Feb. 6. At the time of his death, he had been working at a Tyson plant in Joslin, Ill.

Survivors include his mother of Glendale, Ariz.; two brothers, Randy of Dayton, Ohio, and Russ of Mount Pleasant; and one half sister, Calla ALLEN HINES of Council Bluffs.

He was preceded in death by his father.
