CLARK, Maryann T. -- Maryann T. CLARK, 76, of Brighton, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.

Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

CLARK, Maryann -- Maryann CLARK, 76, of Brighton, died at 11:01 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Saints Joseph and Cabrini Church in East Pleasant Plain, with the Rev. Robert Striegel officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. and Prayers for a Christian Wake at 6:30 p.m.

A memorial for the American Heart Association has been established.

Mrs. CLARK was born May 23, 1932, in Amboy, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Mary LIPPS REX. She married Robert D. KEPLER, and they were later divorced. She married Floyd CLARK April 4, 1980, in Marshalltown. He died July 18, 2004.

Mrs. CLARK attended schools in Sublette and Dixon, Ill. She worked for Western Electric, Collins Radio and as a nurse's aid (sic) in the Washington area for 30 years. She moved to Brighton in 1988 and for the past few months was living with her son in Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. CLARK was a member of Saints Joseph and Cabrini Church in East Pleasant Plain, American Quarter Horse Association and American Paint Horse Association.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra WYLIE of Rockford, Ill., and Agnes BECK of Brighton; one son, Rex KEPLER and wife Dorothy of Cedar Rapids; six stepchildren, Connie, Doris, Shelly, John, Cathy and Narda CUMMINGS; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles REX of Eldena, Ill., and Henry REX of Dixon, Ill.; and two sisters, Anita REX of Dixon, Ill., and Esther TAPPAINER of Mount Carroll, Ill.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
