PACKWOOD. Abraham A. WELLS, 85, long-time resident of the Packwood Community, died at 2 a.m. today at the Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield. Raymond Funeral Home. Born May 28, 1881, at East Stone Gap, Va., son of Monroe and Druzilla HARRIS WELLS. Reared and educated in Virginia and married Ava GILLENWATER. They moved to Iowa and lived in the Stockport community 23 years before going to Packwod. Retired farmer; member of the Christian Church. His wife died Dec. 24, 1958. Also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Survivors include two sons, Frank, Packwood (... and 2nd son?...); two daughters, Mrs. Darle CLARK, Packwood, and Mrs. Glenn HARRINGTON, Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; ten greatgrandchildren; three brothers, Esmond of Stockport; Robert, Gervois, Ore.; and Jerry, Libertyville; and two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd MINER, Stockport, and Mary of Big Stone Gap, Va. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
