Obit. Madge Case STEWART, daughter of Elizabeth CASE STEWART and John STEWART, born Oct. 28, 1870, Rectortown, Va., and passed away at her home in Packwood Nov. 4, 1943. Second child of a family of seven, and was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Frank, Charles and Edward, and one sister Helen. She came to Iowa with her parents in 1876, living on a farm s.w. of Packwood. Member Methodist Church. Following the death of her brother Ed's wife, she assumed the care of her brother's children, Helen and Morgan STEWART, for more than five years. In 1827 the wife of her brother George STEWART passed away, and his three sons, Harold, James and Frank, came to live in the STEWART home. Madge is survived by one sister, Harriet E., one brother, George H. of Packwood, two nieces, Mrs. Helen ERICKSON and Miss Marian ERICKSON, both of Sacramento; four nephews, Lt. Morgan E. STEWART of Camp Shelby, Miss.; Harold J. STEWART, University of Maine, Orono, Maine; James E. STEWART, Oregon State College, Corvallis, Oregon, and Frank E. STEWART, Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass.; a greatniece, Susan ERICKSON,and a greatnephew, Neil ERICKSON of Sacramento, Calif. Funeral Sunday Methodist Church, Packwood.
