Frank P. (Pierce) STEELE, 68, lifelong resident of Jefferson County, died at St. Joseph Hospital, Ottumwa, Tues. after suffering a stroke at his Linby home. Burial in Packwood Cemetery. Born Aug. 25, 1889, near Packwood (in Jefferson County), son of William and Mary HUDDLESTON STEELE. Survived by wife Erma NELSON STEELE and two children, Mrs. Marjorie MELLOTT of Batavia and William STEELE of Lockridge; 7 grandchildren and two brothers, Lee and John STEELE, Vermillion, S.D.
