M. N. SMITH, 81, long time resident of Jefferson County, died this morning in Des Moines. Burial at Packwood. Born Oct. 9, 1859; in Sept., 1880, married Miss Clara McCLUNG of Wapello. She died Aug., 1920. Three daughters and five sons survive.
