Obit. Eldon E. SIPE. Eldon Emett, youngest of ten children of Martin P. and Mahala SIPE, born April 29, 1907, Harrisonville, Pa., died Jefferson County Hospital Feb. 8, 1939, when past 31 years of age. The family came to Iowa in 1911 and settled near Packwood. On Aug. 18, 1928, married Mary THOMAS. Two children were born, both survive. All his married life lived in Fairfield, and employed by the Fairfield 'Ledger'. Surviving are wife, two children, Joyce Irene and Barbara Ann; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. P. SIPE of Kahoka, Mo.; three brothers, Richard and John of Fairfield, and James of Argyle; two sisters, Mrs. W. MELOTTE of Pleasant Plain, and Mrs. Earl DARE of Kahoka. Member First Christian Church of Packwood. Burial in Packwood Cemetery. (Death Record gives his mother's maiden name as MELLOTT; both parents born in Penn. Occupation: Printer.)
