Last rites will be held Thurs. for Vernard SCOTT, native of Packwood, who died Sunday at Palatka, Florida, where he made his home. Services at Packwood Christian Church, burial in Packwood Cemetery. Ned Vernard SCOTT, 64, born March 17, 1896, at Packwood, son of Clark and Emma RAVA SCOTT; married Belle HOWELL who survives. Veteran of World War I, and principal of Barden Elementary School, Palatka, Fla. Also two daughters survive: Mrs. Madelon CARROLL, Chillicothe, Ohio, and Mrs. Beatrice LINK, Beloit, Wis.; one son, Robert C. SCOTT, Cocoa, Fla., nine grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Dwayne GODWIN, Linden, Iowa.
