Austin SASSEEN, son of Robert and Martha (BAKER) SASSEEN, born Apr. 5, 1876, north of Richland in Keokuk County; married Emma PAXSON Apr. 30, 1902. Six children, all living: Mrs. Walter HUBER, Ottumwa; Mrs. Bernard ROBERTS, Richland; Mrs. Cedric WOOLCOTT, Richland; Huston SASSEEN, Lockridge; Dale SASSEEN, Richland, and Russell SASSEEN of Packwood; ten grandchildren. Died May 22, 1942, at his home in Packwood. Member Packwood Methodist Church. Surviving are wife, children, one brother, one brother-in-law. A sister, Mrs. Asbury BOND, preceded him in death.
