Mrs. John SABLE died last night at her home in Packwood. She was 81 years old last December.
Born Ostergotland, Sweden, she was married in Sweden on Oct. 13, 1881, and came to live in the United States. They settled first at Opheim, Ill., and moved to Packwood 33 years ago.
Mrs. SABLE lived on a farm east of Packwood for five years, northwest of Packwood on the Nelson farm for ten years, and in town for 18 years.
The body was brought to the Hoskins Funeral Home.
Mrs. Matilda SABLE is survived by her husband and six children, J. W. SABLE and Mrs. Mable REYGHARD (sic - REIGHARD), of Packwood, Mrs. Arthur LOOMIS and William SABLE, of Richland, Arthur SABLE of Linby, and Mrs. Hanna BARNES of Dunbar, Wis. Also surviving are a brother, Charles PETERSON of Opheim, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Sophia BROBERS of Dassel, Minn.
She had been an invalid for four years. Funeral services will be held at the Packwood Methodist Church at 2:00 Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. S. P. Williamson, with burial at the Packwood cemetery. The body will be brought to the Packwood home on Sunday morning.
