WEBER, Weston Edward -- Weston Edward WEBER, 68, of Argyle, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at home.

A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at Argyle Presbyterian Church in Argyle, with the Rev. Bill Willis officiating. His body has been cremated. Inurnment will take place at Argyle Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be made, in lieu of flowers, to Lee County Hospice, the WEBER family, Argyle Presbyterian Church or Argyle Memorial Gardens. Cards and memorials may be sent to 1983 275th St., Argyle 52619.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent via www.behnerfh.com.

Mr. WEBER was born Sept. 2, 1940, in New Boston, the son of Edward V. and Bernice BEHNER WEBER.

Mr. WEBER graduated from New Boston Grade School, Argyle High School, Keokuk Junior College and Iowa State University in Ames. In high school and college, he participated in basketball and baseball. At Iowa State University, he received his teaching degree. His teaching and coaching careers took him to Chadwick, Ill., Oskaloosa, Warsaw, Ill., and Central Lee schools. He finally settled in Argyle to pursue farming with his dad and brother Dean.

Mr. WEBER was a member of New Boston Methodist Church and later Argyle Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, June WEBER of Argyle; two sons, Shane of Boone and Alan of Carbondale, Ill.; two brothers, Gene of Des Moines and Dean of Argyle; three sisters, Marilyn GARDNER of Kahoka, Mo., Gerri LANE of Rock Island, Ill., and Berni MUNSON of Tucker, Ga.; and several cousins, including Fred BEHNER of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
