DAVIDSON, Alice R. -- Alice R. DAVIDSON, 102, of Washington, Iowa, died today, Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at United Presbyterian Home in Washington.

A celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Sue Meade officiating. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb, Ill.

Visitation will begin at noon Monday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 5-7 p.m.

A memorial has been established for United Presbyterian Home.

Mrs. DAVIDSON was born Nov. 27, 1906, in McDonough County, Ill., the daughter of Clarence Edward and Ocie Dell MASON VOGLER. She married Lloyd DAVIDSON Jan. 5, 1926. He died in 1962.

Mrs. DAVIDSON had resided at united Presbyterian Home for the past 15 years.

Mrs. DAVIDSON was a member of United Methodist Church in Washington.

She enjoyed spending time and playing cards with family and friends. She also enjoyed embroidering, crocheting and reading.

Survivors include three children, Everett DAVIDSON and wife Jo Ann of Birmingham, Max DAVIDSON of Bloomfield and Betty THOMPSON and husband Charles of Washington; one daughter-in-law, Phyllis DAVIDSON of Burlington; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 31 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dick; one infant daughter, Patsy; one infant grandson; five brothers; and three sisters.
