Isaac Bernie NELSON, 82, Linby, died early today at the Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield. Former tile contractor, railroad fireman and farmer. Born Aug. 27, 1882, at Ioka in Keokuk County, son of Joseph and Leticia WEBB NELSON; married Maggie HUDSON Mar. 26, 1905; she died May 23, 1906. On Dec. 21, 1910, he married Juliabelle STARR who died June 11, 1956. Surviving children: Mrs. Clarence MITCHELL, Packwood; Mrs. Merle DECKER, Fairfield, Mrs. Woodrow BRIGGS, Westminster, Colo.; Mrs. Ed GRANEN, Milwaukee, Ore.; Mrs. Marvin PERRY, Kansas City, Mo.; and Arnold NELSON, Batavia; 21 grandchildren, including Ronald LATHROP, Paramount, Calif., who was reared in the NELSON home; several greatgrandchildren and sisters and brother: Mrs. Carl CLINE, Packwood; Mrs. Frank STEELE, Linby; and Verdie NELSON, Ollie. One daughter, two sisters and one brother are deceased.
