ORR, Marjorie -- Marjorie ORR, 86, of Keosauqua, died at 1:40 a.m. today, Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

ORR, Marjorie L. -- Marjorie L. ORR, 86, of Keosauqua, died at 1:40 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, east of Douds.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where family will be present from 5-7 p.m.

Memorials to Zion Lutheran Cemetery of American Kidney Foundation may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 816 Country Lane Road, Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. ORR was born June 17, 1922, near Mount Zion, the daughter of Clarence and Mildred ROLISON EWING. She married John H. ORR May 27, 1944, in Keosauqua. He died Jan. 4, 2002.

Mrs. ORR grew up in the Mount Zion and Pittsburg area. She graduated from Keosauqua High School and attended Parsons College. She taught at the Leach rural school near Keosauqua. She provided home health care to the elderly for 12 years and worked at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center for 11 years until retiring in 1986. She and her husband lived primarily in Douds and Keosauqua.

Survivors include four sons, William and wife Sandra of Washington, Iowa, Donald and wife Linda of Monmouth, Ill., Ronald of Morris, Ala., and Larry and wife Darlene of Keosauqua; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Hazel JONES; one brother, Merle "Bud" EWING; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
