DAY, Cecilia D. -- Cecilia D. DAY, 86, of State College, Pa., formerly of Fairfield, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at her residence.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.

Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home in State College.

Mrs. DAY was born Jan. 4, 1922, in Davenport, the daughter of Albert WOECKENER and Caroline J. BELGRADE WOECKENER. She married Bailey DAY, who died March 22, 1975.

Mrs. DAY moved to State College in 2001.

She was a member of Mount Nittany United Methodist Church in State College. She was also a member of a chapter of PEO.

Mrs. DAY enjoyed golfing and playing bridge. She also enjoyed participating in local bowling leagues in Iowa and the Iowa state bowling championships.

Survivors include three children, Michael R. DAY and wife Mary of State College, Pa., Kathleen INGWERSEN and husband Steve of Buffalo and Terry DAY and wife Janice of Bluegrass; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
