Obit. Louisa Jane SNYDER, born Marshall Co., Va., now a part of W.Va., Apr. 9, 1843, and died Aug. 16, 1922 Packwood, Iowa, age 79-4-7. Daughter of Andrew SNYDER and Sarah BAKER SNYDER, came with them to Iowa spring of 1844, she being one year old upon landing in Burlington. Met by old friends of Virginia from the Long Creek settlement west of Burlington. Married Edwin A. MILLER Dec. 20, 1865, and he died Dec. 5, 1912. Lived in New London, Mt. Union, and came to Packwood 1894. Of her father's family of ten children only two survive, those being her two brothers, Theodore SNYDER, an attorney at Ft. Madison, and Wilber J. of Burlington. Also survived by one son, A. W. MILLER of Mt. Pleasant, and one grandson. Burial in Packwood Cemetery.
