Mrs. Nellie B. McVEY, 73, R.5, Ottumwa, formerly of Packwood, died at her home Tuesday. Burial in Packwood Cemetery. Born in Jefferson County near Packwood, Aug. 19, 1885, daughter of William and Mary Ann HINTZ BROWN. Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Hazel OOLEY, Summit City, Calif.; Mrs. Inez CLARRIDGE, Birmingham; Mrs. Ana PEDRICK, Ottumwa; and Mrs. Velna MARK, Redding, calif.; one son, Ray Goodman, Logansport, Ind.; nine grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie HARRISON, Fairfield, and Mrs. Gussie SMITH, Cedar Rapids. Preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1932, a son in infancy, and four brothers.
